MAJOR OVERHAUL


Right, SO I know it's been a while, but I was expecting this whole thing to not take up as much time as it had. It was supposed to be a monthly substitute for Patron updates. However, several things happened:

-Dialogic 2
-Godot Engine 4

So with these two new innovations, I felt like it was a good time to start over, and get back into the weeds of the story again so I could finish Chapter 5 with the same passion I had before. So with that, I'm overhauling the game in 3 major ways. 

1. Redoing the Dialogic files

This should be easy since it appears there's more documentation than there was before on the new system, so it can be a little more flexible with what I want to do. 

2. Learn Godot Engine

Since I was leaning entirely on Dialogic, I wasn't sure what I had to do or what I could do. However, now I'm learning more about how the Dialogic node could interact with everything else while still making the games I want to play. 

3. Redoing the UI

Initially it was emulating the No More Heroes VN segments, however this led things to feel a little stiff and unwieldy, but I went with a more "natural" VN route, Fire Emblem. A lot of it felt the same, but I can still do all the little flourishes I want, without constricting what I'm doing with the UI.

And with this, the characters got a visual overhaul as well! 


The sprites still need to be finish, and the writing another pass, but here's a little update to let you know it's still being worked on!
